A collection of my short stories entitled ‘Stirring The Grass and Other Stories’ is now available in paperback and Kindle formats.
The collection includes several stories that started life in serialised format right here on this website, including:
Stirring The Grass:
When Rick Griffin’s Muslim girlfriend, Sara Awad, is reported as missing, it opens up a whole can of worms involving international espionage with all its attendant deceit and duplicity, and sets everyone involved on a roller coaster of emotional turmoil…
Man Flu:
Something strange starts claiming the lives of birds in the West Hill dominion. There are no external wounds, no signs of struggle, no readily obvious cause of death. The inner circle, under the presidency of a charismatic robin, decides that humans are responsible. The word goes out that all contact with humans is forbidden and, most significantly, bird feeders are declared off-limits. The penalty for breaking the embargo is severe…
Shackleton’s Shed:
A poetic, slightly surreal short story that focuses on Shackleton, an army veteran who is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder following a spell on active service. Unable to cope with normal, modern life, he hides out in an allotment shed.
The collection also features two stories from The Wormhole Series, Earthwatch Uncovered & One Way Ticket.
